Babies sleep better in the dark

Buggies, car seats and aeroplane cabins rarely offer any. The Nodli Slumber Hat does.
THE QUIET PROBLEM

The world is bright. Buggy hoods only reach so far.

A pram hood often only shades the top of the head, not the face. Turn a corner into the sun and the light lands exactly where a sleeping baby's eyes are.

The Nodli Slumber Hat adds the last few inches of shade. A soft visor folds down over the eyes, then folds away when it isn't needed.

ON THE MOVE

Quiet at thirty thousand feet.

Cabin lights stay on. The seatbelt sign pings. The hat stays on, the visor stays down, and sometimes they sleep through the whole descent.

Considered details

Every stitch, in service of stillness.

Fold-down visor

Shades the eyes where the buggy hood stops. Folds away flat when the light drops.

Organic cotton jersey

Soft against a sleeping head, breathable enough for a warm car. Main fabric 100% organic cotton, rib trim 95% organic cotton with 5% elastane.

Three sizes

3–6, 6–12 and 12–18 months, so it fits properly rather than nearly.

Approximately 90g

Folds into a pocket. You will carry it without noticing, which is the point.

A band that gives

A little elastane so it stays put on a moving head without leaving a mark.

Three colours

Chosen to sit with everything else in the buggy, and with each other.

Made for the moments parents try not to disturb.

01

Morning coffee

Coffee arrives. The pram is angled away from the window, the visor is down, and nobody has woken up yet.
02

Walks in the park

The path turns into the sun every hundred yards. The hood cannot follow it. The visor does not need to.
03

Weekend getaways

Car seat, aeroplane cabin, a strange bedroom with the wrong curtains. Ninety grams of familiar, however exotic the destination.

How long does delivery take?

Most UK orders arrive within 2–3 working days of dispatch (and we aim for next business day dispatch). We'll send tracking details as soon as your order ships.

What if something doesn't fit?

Send it back. You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind for any reason, and 30 days in total under our own returns policy. Trying it on is fine – that is what trying it on is for.

We ask that it comes back clean and unwashed, and we cover you either way if something is genuinely wrong with it. Return postage is at your cost. Email enquiries@josalis.com and we will tell you where to send it.

Where are Nodli hats made?

Designed in the UK. Knitted and finished in Tiruppur, in southern India, by a mill certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100 at Product Class I – the strictest class the standard operates, and the one written for articles worn by babies.

That is a fact about our supplier, not a certificate for the hat. We hold none, and we will not claim any we have not earned.
