Terms and conditions
Last updated: 20 August 2026
These terms apply to your use of josalis.com and to any order you place with us. Please read them before ordering. By placing an order you agree to them.
1. Who we are
Josalis Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16568219. Registered office: 7 Danesfield, Ripley, Woking, Surrey, GU23 6LS, United Kingdom.
Contact: enquiries@josalis.com
We are not registered for VAT. No VAT is charged on our prices and no VAT invoice can be issued.
2. Using this website
You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You may not use it in any way that breaches applicable law, is fraudulent, or that could damage or impair the site or anyone else's use of it.
We may suspend, withdraw or restrict all or part of the site without notice. We will give reasonable notice where we can.
3. Our products
We take care to describe and photograph our products accurately. Colours may appear differently on different screens, and leather is a natural material, so variation in grain, tone and marking is inherent to it and is not a fault.
Product dimensions and weights are approximate.
We may change or withdraw products at any time. This does not affect an order we have already accepted.
4. Orders
Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we send you an email confirming that your order has been dispatched.
If we cannot accept your order, because an item is out of stock, because we cannot authorise your payment, or because we have identified a pricing or description error, we will tell you and refund any payment in full.
Prices are shown in pounds sterling. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added. Delivery costs, where any apply, are shown separately at checkout.
If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered, we will contact you to ask whether you wish to proceed at the correct price or cancel. If we cannot reach you, we will treat the order as cancelled and refund you in full.
5. Payment
We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Payment is taken when you place your order. All payments are processed by Shopify Payments and its payment partners. We do not see or store your card details.
6. Delivery
Delivery is covered by our shipping policy, which forms part of these terms.
Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Ownership passes when we have received payment in full.
7. Cancellation and returns
Your right to cancel and our returns process are set out in our refund and returns policy, which forms part of these terms. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
8. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Subject to that, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.
We supply our products for domestic and private use. We have no liability for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
9. Intellectual property
All content on this website, including text, photography, logos, our names and marks and the design of the site, belongs to us or is licensed to us. You may not reproduce, distribute or use it commercially without our written permission.
10. Your personal information
We handle your personal information in accordance with our privacy policy.
11. Complaints
If something has gone wrong, please tell us first. Email enquiries@josalis.com and we will try to put it right. We aim to acknowledge every complaint within two working days.
If we cannot resolve it between us, we are not currently a member of an alternative dispute resolution scheme and we are not obliged to be. You retain the right to bring a claim in the courts.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may bring proceedings in your local courts as well as in England and Wales.
13. Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms from time to time. The version in force when you place your order is the version that applies to that order.
